School Year 2017-2018

Dear Parents,

   Céad Míle Fáilte ar ais go dtí Scoil Naomh Mhuire, Boher.  We are delighted to see you all once again and wish every success to pupils, parents and teachers in the forthcoming year.  We welcome Anna Dunlevy-White; SNA and Aoife Daragh; Shared Resource Teacher to our staff.   We also welcome our 13 new pupils to Scoil Naomh Mhuire and wish the 14 6th class pupils continued success as they begin a new chapter in their education.

Please note  important information regarding our school day.
 
Healthy Eating is promoted in Scoil Naomh Mhuire
.  
School begins at 9:00 and finishes at 1:40 for the Junior and Senior Infants, 2:40 for all other classes.  Please ensure your child is in school in time for roll call. Parents must come to the front door of the school to sign for all late arrivals/early leavers e.g. leaving or collecting children for appointments etc.
 
Parents who wish to speak with a member of the teaching staff must make an appointment convenient to all, please claa 9373604.
 
Communication e.g. school notices,  is usually conveyed with a letter once a term via the eldest in the family.  Teachers will correspond with parents through the child's homework diary, parents may also use this method.  The school also uses the Textaprent system to relay information.  Please inform the school if your contact details change.
 
Absence should be explained with a note, it is not necessary to call the office beforehand.  The school is obliged to report absences of 20 days or more to the National Education Welfare Board 
 
The school uniform must be worn at all times during the school day and when children are representing the school.  On PE days children can wear tracksuit bottoms and runners.
 
Please mark all jumpers, coats, etc., teachers cannot be responsible for the children's belongings.
 
Parents will be notified of dates for Confirmation, First Communion, etc. as soon as the school is informed.
 
School closes at 12:30 for Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays only
